The (free!) Eclipse VOLTTRON software is loaded onto a $300-$400 computer appliance with an ethernet port.

A member of an organization’s facilities team or HVAC systems vendor connects the VOLTTRON appliance to a BACNet enabled Building Automation System (BAS) controller or through BACNet converters available for most BAS systems. A single building requires only one appliance and a VOLTTRON appliance can be installed in 1-2 hours.

Our hardware connects to the Internet and to ACE IoT Solution’s VOLTTRON Cloud (hosted on Amazon Web Services) using an existing fiber communications network or cellular modems. For each customer, we manage a dedicated site housing all the data collected by an organization’s VOLTTRON appliances. Organizations pay less than $100 per month for each VOLTTRON appliance that accesses the ACE IoT Solution’s VOLTTRON Cloud.
